The Monday Minute (Brooke)

34
There is just something about prayer. It's different than almost anything else we do in this life. For some reason God uses our prayers to bring forth change in us-in our homes-in our friendships- in our neighborhoods & dorms-in our fears. And Satan trembles at the thought that we would pray.

Prayer is such a gift from God.
& Prayer really changes things.

Slowly read these verses & answer, "What does this verse teach me about prayer? about yourself? about God?

"I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 17:6

"if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14

"But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."  Matthew 5:44

"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ..." Colossians 4:2-3a

God, remind us of the power of prayer.  I pray we would continue steadfastly in prayer and that we would be praying for things that are on Your heart. We love You, Amen.
