There is just something about prayer. It's different than almost anything else we do in this life. For some reason God uses our prayers to bring forth change in us-in our homes-in our friendships- in our neighborhoods & dorms-in our fears. And Satan trembles at the thought that we would pray.
Prayer is such a gift from God. & Prayer really changes things.
Slowly read these verses & answer, "What does this verse teach me about prayer? about yourself? about God? "I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 17:6
"if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
"But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Matthew 5:44
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ..." Colossians 4:2-3a
God, remind us of the power of prayer. I pray we would continue steadfastly in prayer and that we would be praying for things that are on Your heart. We love You, Amen.
