Did you happen to buy Taylor Swifts album(1989) this past week too? Oh, no? Ahem. Wellllll. It's good. :)
Track 4 is called "Out of the Woods". It has been playing in the background of every car ride this week. The melodic chorus just repeats:
Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods? Are we in the clear yet? Are we in the clear yet? Are we in the clear yet? Are we in the clear, good Are we out of the woods yet? repeat.
Life is kinda like being in the woods, isn't it? So many uncertainties and hurts and tears. I found out some news recently that has had my heart just hurting. But in so many ways(by God's grace) it has helped me long for eternity-more. And see this life in light of eternity more. This life will always be filled with high highs and low lows---but the next life(because God made a way through Jesus)-we really will be out of the woods and fully in the clear:
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain, All these things are gone forever. Revelation 21:4
Rejoice in hope, Be patient in suffering/tribulation, Be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12
There is so much h o p e in this life because of Jesus.
