There's so much heartache in this world. And he promises... No more tears. No more pain. One day.
He promises in scripture that He has come to bring life. He also promises that in this world we will face heartache.
But there is hope. Hope that one day the battles will cease. The war has been won. Good triumphs. Jesus triumphed.
In this world where heartache, pain, weariness and tears seem rampant, we have hope in Jesus.
He is near and he cares. He doesn't erase the heartache of this world. But he does enter in and meet us there in the midst of it. He is faithful to be near.
"You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror." - Psalm 10:17-18
I love that we can cling to him and that he hears our cry.
If the world and the results of its fallenness have been burdening you, seek Jesus. We have hope that one day all pain will cease. But even as it still exists, He is near. Lean into Him. He cares for you.
