Have you ever wondered what this time of year is like for those who don’t know Jesus? Even though I swoon over the lights, pretty Christmas trees, music, family time, yummy food and presents. I don’t really know what I would do if I didn’t know Jesus during this season. Life isn’t as glamorous as it gives it off to be sometimes.
it’s hard. it’s challenging. it’s draining.
I’m so thankful for this thing called…hope. I can’t think of anything that is more encouraging than this. I think about the people during this time of year that are lonely, struggling, dealing with loss and change. I want to love them well. I don’t want to get carried away with swooning over all things Christmas. I want to share this hope with others because Jesus shared it with me. So would you? Take some extra time these next couple weeks to love those who need some hope! Don't forget the widow[er]s and orphans, the divorced and never married, the neglected and far from home this week.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” // 1 Peter
-----------------Hi there! My name is Grace and I’m a senior at ODU. I just love the quietness that comes with on Christmas day. It almost seems like my world stops for a little bit and I get to enjoy and rest in what the Lord has given me – what a beautiful thing!
