I love Psalm 1 for so many reasons. Have you read it recently? It's PACKED with sweet promises, exhortation, & encouragement. Today I want to focus on Psalm 1:2: "...but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates on it day and night."
As you know meditating on Scripture is basically just thinking about it a lot---til it starts to change your mind, thoughts, actions! Praise God. One simple way to meditate is writing down a verse you want to think about more and carrying it with you for the rest of the day. Let's do this together this week. This is an area I really want to grow in so I am excited to focus on this all week. So let's keep it simple: first thing each morning write down a verse on a note card. Put it in your pocket or tape it to your phone. And as many moments as possible[waiting in line, walking to class, eating lunch...] read that verse-think about each word, pray it, picture it, sing it, repeat it, share it with a friend, enjoy it...
Today I'm going to meditate on Psalm 62:1-2 if you want to as well: Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress I will never be shaken.
I pray you will be filled with delight as you meditate on truth this week! God is good. Stay Awake.
