Stay Awake Monday//Sweet Mercy//Brooke

34
I get so excited when it's a new month, a new year, a new morning. There's something about beginning again, turning the calendar page, starting over that I just can't get enough of. And I think that's one of the reasons why I'm obsessed with Lamentations 3:23:

"Great is His faithfulness, His mercies begin afresh each morning."

afresh.
each morning.
over and over.
365.
unending.
mercy.
for you.
for me.
without
fail.
amen.

Paul David Tripp in his devotional "New Morning Mercies" says: "The reality that on every morning brand-new mercy greets us is not the thing that grips our minds as we frenetically prepare for our day. When we lay our exhausted heads down at the end of the day for much-needed sleep, we often fail to look back on the many mercies that dripped from God's hands onto our little lives.  We don't often take time to sit and meditate on what our lives would've been like if the mercy of the Redeemer had not been written into our personal stories. Sadly, we all tend to be too mercy-forgetful."

Celebrate this mercy today.
Be watchful for this mercy all around.
Extend this mercy to others.

We are loved by a rich in mercy God. There is so much to praise Him for.

Here's to Monday!
Stay Awake.
